Celebrating Woman’s Month 2021

We need your support! Don’t just throw them away, somewhere out there is a young girl or woman in need of a bra or underwear and we want to make sure they get it. Just put it in a (plastic) bag and drop it off at one of our drop-off locations. (see bottom of post for drop-off locations) We are in need of a lot of bra’s, underwear and drop-off locations!

How to become a drop-off location:

Contact Uniclox on any of our platforms. All you need to do is to accept a bag on our behalf.

What is ZABRA:

Every year in August, South Africa celebrates Woman and pay tribute to more than 20 000 women that marched to the Union buildings on the 9th of August 1956, fighting for the rights of woman. As a woman, mother, wife and collogue, life happens and sometimes we need to be reminded that we are special and can make a difference. August is a month dedicated to the woman of 1956 and to each and every woman and girl, that wants to make a difference in the lives of other. It’s a month where South Africa says thank you, we appreciate you, we see you and be loved.

Donation for Gracia – Child and Youth Care Centre

In 2018 Uniclox together with the Round Table TP151 decided to really do something for woman during the month of August. We took hands with Jeanettte Kruger, founder of Zabra, Afree bra initiative, an international volunteer network, collecting pre-owned and new bras and underwear that we distribute to woman that can’t afford their own. We did the same in 2019, bringing smiles, gratitude and relief to so many underprivileged woman and young girls. In 2020 due to lockdown regulations and Covid, this project was not possible. However, this year we are doing what we can to make this project possible, with your help. In conclusion, the young ladies of Gracia Child and Youth Care Centre in Pretoria North, will receive this years donation.
